Definition
In the Greek text this term is applied to the preaching of Jonah (Matt. 12:41; Luke 11:32), but specifically it is the preaching of the gospel, the proclamation that Jesus is Christ and that men are saved by faith in Him (Rom. 16:25; 1 Cor. 1:21; 2:4; 15:14; 2 Tim. 4:17; Titus 1:3).
