Definition
The Western insertion in the article on the Holy Spirit in the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed, 'Who proceeds from the Father and the Son', to express the doctrine of the Double Procession of the Spirit. This has been bitterly resented in the East both on canonical and doctrinal grounds.
