Definition
A group of Protestant churches in the U.S. that have generally held conservative theologies, uphold the authority of the Bible, and an emphasis on personal conversion experiences. This includes denominations such as the Southern Baptist Convention, the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, the Presbyterian Church in America, and non-denominational churches that are considered evangelical or conservative.
