The 1559 compromise by Elizabeth I that established the Church of England through the Acts of Supremacy and Uniformity and the Royal Injunctions.

Definition

The comprise between English Protestants and Catholics created by Elizabeth I in 1559, thus creating the Church of England. The settlement consists of three Parliamentary enactments: the Act of Supremacy, the Act of Uniformity, and the Royal Injunctions.
