Definition

(1580) The collection of all those writings which were regarded as of confessional authority and includes: the ecumenical creeds (Apostles', Nicene, Athanasian), the Augsburg Confession, Luther's Small and Large Catechisms, the Smalcald Articles, the Apology of Augsburg Confession, and the Formula of Concord.
